Gujarat Secures 15th Rank in NEET UG 2026

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the NEET UG 2026 Result, bringing significant insights into Gujarat's performance in one of India's most competitive medical entrance examinations. This year, 79,190 students from Gujarat registered for the examination, out of which 68,833 appeared and 38,146 candidates qualified, resulting in an overall 55.42% qualifying percentage.

Although Gujarat has secured the 15th position among all Indian states, the state's success rate has declined by nearly 7% compared to the previous year. In 2025, Gujarat had recorded a 62.43% qualifying rate, with 50,040 students qualifying, whereas in 2026, the number of qualified candidates dropped by 11,894.

Despite the overall decline, Gujarat produced several outstanding performers. Nine students scored above 690 marks, with Tala Samut Bhatiya emerging as the state's highest scorer by securing AIR 25. Other Gujarat toppers also achieved impressive All India Rankings, highlighting the state's continued presence among India's top NEET performers.

Across India, nearly 22.7 lakh students appeared for NEET UG 2026, making it one of the largest entrance examinations in the country. According to national data, EWS and SC category candidates recorded notable growth in participation and qualification compared to previous years, reflecting broader access to medical education opportunities.

The reduction in Gujarat's qualifying candidates has intensified competition for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BHMS admissions under both Government and Management Quotas. Candidates are now advised to prepare all required documents, monitor the official admission schedule, and complete the online registration process as soon as the Gujarat medical admission portal opens.

Students should regularly check the official admission website for registration dates, merit lists, choice filling, seat allotment, and counselling updates to avoid missing any important announcements during the admission process.
